Located on the historic downtown square in Ocala,  Harry’s  Seafood, & Bar has been a favorite not only here, but in 5 different cities but in the state of Florida for many years.

The interior of the classic building that houses Harry’s is full of old brick which gives visitors the feeling of stepping back in time when entering the front door.

The food is New Orleans themed, and it is fantastic.

Favorites include southern dishes including red beans and rice, po boys, and mouth-watering jambalaya.  You can also sample boudin balls, a New Orleans staple that combines hot sausage with creole seasonings and rice deep fried to perfection in a ball.

However, the consensus most popular item is the shrimp and grits.  This is a must-try for diners!

What sets this eatery apart is the low prices, amazing pizza, and delicious burgers.  They are also quite famous for their cold craft beers.

Brick City Southern Kitchen & Whiskey Bar is another restaurant on the Ocala square that has become a major success.  They employ a smoker that is custom-built that creates mouth-watering smells that are hard to describe.

The décor is similar to Harry’s in that it is rustic brick and gives a feeling of stepping in to an early 1900’s establishment.  There is also a large choice of whiskey’s available (over 400 choices) as well as a variety of wine, spirits and cocktails.

Some of the best food choices include the Kansas City burnt ends appetizer, pulled pork, smoked wings, and of course fried pickles.
